The Raytheon "Desktop Benefits" U.S. benefits administration portal is sponsored by Raytheon Company and is operated by Conduent HR Services, LLC ("Conduent"), a third party supplier. The site is a personalized Web site for you to use in managing your benefits and as a health and wellness resource. While this Web site has been implemented as a central portal and repository, links are accessible to other service providers that are involved in the delivery of benefits services to our employees, their families and dependents. While Raytheon contracts with all benefits service providers to provide the same protection for your information as it receives in our care, we recommend you also familiarize yourselves with the privacy statements on those other third party Web sites.

What personal information is gathered

While much of the personal information accessible on this site about both you and your dependents is provided from existing Raytheon Human Resources systems, you may be asked to provide additional personal information. This information can be gathered when you enter your personal data or directly in response to inquiries on the site. In all such cases, you choose whether to provide the personally identifiable information, but certain portions of the site may not be available to you if you do not provide the requested personal information.

The types of personal information that might be collected from you can include:

  • Contact information and other identifiers such as name, address, phone number, email addresses, government-assigned identifier and bank account number, as required to provide specific services;
  • Demographic information such as date of birth, gender, and marital status
  • Similar information as described above for dependents as required for coverage under relevant benefits programs;
  • Benefit program participation and coverage information such as benefit choices, beneficiary information, claims information, and benefit plan account.
How your information is used and who has access to it

The information that you provide to this Web site is used only to provide you with the benefits to which you subscribe during annual benefits open enrollment periods or to which you are entitled as a Raytheon employee.

We limit access to personal employee information to only those individuals who have a properly identified, legitimate business requirement for the information in the necessary performance of their job responsibilities. The roles of individuals who may be given access to individual employee records have been clearly defined within company-wide policies. Employees of Raytheon and Conduent, who fulfill these roles will have received appropriate instruction regarding their duty to protect employee privacy in connection with their duties, and will have been informed of the disciplinary consequences of willful or accidental misuse of personal employee information under their control.

With whom your information is shared

Information you provide to this site or that is accessible from this site is shared only with third party companies that provide benefits services. The use of such information by these third parties is strictly controlled by the contracts with these companies.

The contracts with these companies also contain security provisions that prohibit these companies from further sharing this information other than in the provision of benefits services and require appropriate security measures are used to protect your personal information.

You should also be aware that in certain limited circumstances release of an individual's personal information by us or a third party supplier may be legally required, for example, in response to (i) a court order, search warrant, subpoena or other legal action that the disclosing entity reasonably deems to be valid, or (ii) in special cases, such as a physical threat to the user or others or an attempted breach of the security of the site.
